Forest Mech Design

I had to create a Mech design themed around industrial forest felling. I have never illustrated a mech before so this was a really challenging project. I made sure to follow a few tutorials to aid me and tried to follow my normal creative workflow.

I worked a low-poly blender model into my workflow. Initially I wanted to create a high poly final in 3D but due to hardware limitations had to reduce the poly count and use the model as a reference.

I would love to try illustrating mechs in the future and glad I got the chance to start!
